Canary Wharf is a major business district and - together with the City of London
 - is one of the two main financial centres of London.
Canary Wharf contains some of the UK's tallest buildings including One Canada Square.

The design is based on the World Financial Center and Big Ben.

A distinctive feature of the building is the pyramid shaped roof.

 The building is 235 metres ( 770 ft ) in height.

The "Gherkin" in London

The "Gherkin"

A skyscraper in the financial district of the City of London
built on the site of the former Baltic Exchange.
 The tower is 180 metres ( 591 feet ) in height.

This is the second tallest skyscraper in the City of London
  Originally the National Westminster Tower
 the shape of the tower resembles the NatWest logo
 ( three chevrons in a hexagonal arrangement )

Willis Building in London

Willis Building in the City of London

This is named after the insurance broker Willis
- the primary tenant
.

The building is 125 metres ( 410 feet ) tall
 and features a "stepped" design
- intended to resemble the shell of a crustacean.


Broadgate Tower in London

Broadgate Tower

Currently the fourth tallest building in the City of London.

The tower is 165 metres ( 541ft ) in height


The Shard in London

The Shard

The Shard ( the Shard of Glass, Shard London Bridge, the London Bridge Tower )
is 309.6 metres ( 1,016ft ) in height.
It is the tallest completed building in Europe
and the second-tallest free-standing structure in the United Kingdom.

The Shard has an irregular pyramidal shape
 and is clad entirely in glass.
