Camp
at Farm in Terai
The Terai is a belt of marshy grasslands, savannas and forests at the base of the Himalaya in India and Nepal. In Nepal the Terai extends to the border with India and is drier, mostly cleared agricultural land. The Mahendra Highway (the East West Highway ) runs across the Terai region of Nepal, from Kakarbhitta in the east to Mahendranagar in the west, cutting across the entire width of the country. It is the longest highway in Nepal. |
