Shwedagon Pagoda ( Shwedagon Zedi Daw) a 98-metre high gilded stupa situated on Singuttara Hill dominating the skyline of Yangon. It is the most sacred Burmese Buddhist pagoda with relics of four Buddhas enshrined within:- - the staff of Kakusandha, - the water filter of Konagamana, - a piece of the robe of Kassapa - 8 hairs of Gautama, the original Buddha. |
