Aspiring is New Zealand's highest mountain outside the Mount Cook region. Set
within Otago's Mount Aspiring NP
it has a height of 3,033 metres. The Māori name is Tititea - Glistening Peak. It is also often called the "Matterhorn of the South" due to its pyramidal peak. |
