Karakoram The Kaghan Valley is in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan. This
is a popular tourist area.
The
Kaghan Valley is named after the town of Kaghan rather
than the Kunhar
River flowing through the valley.
The
valley extends some 155km ( 96 miles ) from a height of
2,134ft ( 650m ) to the Babusar Pass at 13,690ft ( 4170m ).
Naran
is the
main town and and the base for Lake Saif-ul-Malook and Lalazar.
The
region is alpine in nature with forests and meadows beneath peaks over 17,000ft/ 5200m. |
