Rolling Lift Bascule Bridge.
The bridge crosses White Cart Water at the confluence with the Black Cart River. It is the only remaining lift bridge in the country and is category A listed The bridge is still capable of opening to allow the Doosan Babcock factory in Renfrew to move large loads by river. |
