on the Campsie Fells above Strathblane Ballagan Glen is a small Scottish Trust Wildlife Reserve in a steep narrow ravine carved out by the Ballagan Burn, that cascades down a series of waterfalls, including the Spout of Ballagan. It is notable for its spectacular geological exposures and ancient ash gorge woodland - it is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Walkers access is by the driveway of Ballagan House. |
