The Erskine Bridge over the River Clyde to the West of Glasgow

The Erskine Bridge is a cable-stayed, box girder bridge.

It is the furthest downstream of all the Clyde bridges

and the last point at which the estuary can be crossed by road.

 The green marker buoy warns shipping of a rock

( known as St Patrick's rock )
that is submerged at high tide.

 It is said St Patrick was fishing from this rock

when he was kidnapped by Irish pirates / slavers and taken to Ireland
