The Grade-B listed building,

 which dates from the early 19th century,

 was formerly called Clydesdale House

 and was re-named Greyfriars

 when Capuchin friars took it over in 1949.

The Daldowie Dovecot ( Category A listed )

was built in the mid-18th century

 on the north bank of the 
River Clyde,

 in the grounds of the former 
Daldowie House estate.

It stood isolated for several decades

 within the grounds of Daldowie Sewage Works,

and was dismantled and re-erected in 2000

 in its present location on the 
A74 Hamilton Road

 to the south of 
Mount Vernon

also known as Carmyle Viaduct,


is a disused railway bridge. 


It is constructed of a steel lattice frame


with sandstone pillars


and has 3 main spans over the water.


The bridge was constructed in 1897


as part of the Glasgow Central Railway.
