Lugnaquilla ( 925m, 3,039ft ) ( Log na Coille in Irish - "Hollow of the Wood" ) is
part of the Wicklow Mountains in eastern Ireland, and
is one of the fourteen mountains over 3,000ft ( Munros ) in Ireland. Lugnaquilla
is frequently climbed due to its proximity to the capital Dublin. Lugnaquilla
is a bulky mountain with a large summit plateau bounded on two sides by steep glacial corries ( the North and South Prisons ). |
