Mount Elbert ( 14,440ft, 4401m ) is the highest mountain in the Rocky Mountains of North America. It is the highest of the fourteeners in the US State of Colorado and the high point of the Sawatch Range. Elbert is the second highest mountain in the contiguous United States, - only 65ft /20m less high than Mount Whitney in California. |
