The Colorado River flows
from Northern Colorado
all the way to Mexico before the water filters into the Gulf of California. Along the way the waters of the Colorado River carve some of the most breathtaking views in the USA including the Grand Canyon. Another famous landmark in the US is the Hoover Dam built in the river on the border of Arizona and Nevada. Since the 1930's the dam has controlled how water filters through the area to prevent floods and produce power for surrounding areas.
