Macgillycuddy Reeks The
Macgillycuddy Reeks
( Na Cruacha Dubha - " the black stacks " ) are mountains in County Kerry in the SW of Ireland. Stretching slightly over 19 km ( 12 miles ) the range includes the highest peaks in Ireland and the only peaks over 1,000 metres ( 3,300ft ). The highest is Carrauntoohil / Corrán Tuathail ( 1038m ) followed by Beenkeragh / Binn Chaorach ( 1010m ) and Caher / Cathair na Féinne ( 1001m ). |
